Dear
Investor,
Given the
current unpredictability of the US stock market,
there has never been a better time for you to profit
from global market trends by using ETF trading
strategies. There are currently major
bullish and bearish price trends in effect in global
currencies, commodities and equities.
Chuck
Hughes’ Global Power Trend System successfully identifies these
trends in global markets with proven ETF trading
strategies. His ETF system consistently produces
trading profits from both long and short ETF trades
and from ETF option trades.
What are
Exchange Traded Funds / ETFs?
Here is an
encyclopedia definition of an exchange traded fund (ETF):
An
exchange-traded fund (or ETF) is an investment
vehicle traded on stock exchanges, much like stocks.
An ETF holds assets such as stocks or bonds and
trades at approximately the same price as the net
asset value of its underlying assets over the course
of the trading day. Most ETFs track an index, such
as the Dow Jones Industrial Average or the S&P 500.
“In a
survey of investment professionals conducted in
March 2008, 67% called ETFs the most innovative
investment vehicle of the last two decades and 60%
reported that ETFs have fundamentally changed the
way they construct investment portfolios.” (Wikipedia.org)
ETFs may be attractive as investments because of
their low costs, tax efficiency, and stock-like
features. In a survey of investment professionals
conducted in March 2008, 67% called ETFs the most
innovative investment vehicle of the last two
decades and 60% reported that ETFs have
fundamentally changed the way they construct
investment portfolios.
The ETF
investment industry has grown from $16 billion in 1996 to over
$600 billion today.
An ETF
investment combines the valuation feature of a mutual fund or
unit investment trust, which can be purchased or
redeemed at the end of each trading day for its net
asset value, with the tradability feature of a
closed-end fund, which trades throughout the trading
day at prices that may be substantially more or less
than its net asset value. Closed-end funds are not
considered to be exchange-traded funds, even though
they are funds and are traded on an exchange.
ETFs
have been available in the US since 1993 and in
Europe since 1999. ETFs traditionally have been
index funds, but in 2008 the U.S. Securities and
Exchange Commission began to authorize the creation
of actively-managed ETFs. (Wikipedia.org)
Given the current volatility with the US financial
markets, the best thing about investing in ETFs is that their
performance is not tied to how well or poorly the
stock market, individual stocks or oil is doing.
What are
the advantages of using ETF Trading strategies?
-
Allows you
to invest in the global currency, commodity and
equity markets which have the greatest profit
potential.
-
Allows you
to diversify your investments across a wide range of
asset classes.
-
Allows you
to trade from the long or short side which increases
profit opportunities.
-
Reduces
the market risk of owning individual US stocks.
-
Reduce
risk for each trade - you cannot lose more money
than you invest and will not receive a margin call.

Who is Chuck Hughes?
Chuck Hughes is a veteran trader who started his
career in 1984. As a full-time commercial airline
pilot his schedule of 15 to 17 days off each month
allowed him to start trading regularly.
Chuck entered the United States Trading Championship
in 1985 and finished 10th. In 1986 he placed 3rd
with an amazing 260% return.
Chuck has won additional titles in the systems
trading division of the World Cup Championship of
Futures Trading® in '94 and '95, the day trading
division in '95, and the professional division in
'99. In the World Cup Championship of Stock
Trading™, he placed second in 2006, first in 2005
and third in 2003.

Chuck is known for his consistent, disciplined, and
unemotional approach to trading the markets.
What is the Global Power Trend System?
The Global
Power Trend System (GPS) is an ETF investment
advisory which focuses on trend-following ETF
trading strategies. You ‘trade with the trend’ instead of
trying to predict the future price direction of a
market. The goal of the Global Power Trend System is
to identify major price trends in a broadly
diversified mix of global markets.

Power Trend System. |
|
Chuck's ETF trading
strategies
only generate signals in
the direction of the major trend. A bullish ETF trade is
taken only if the major trend is bullish. Similarly,
a bearish ETF trade is taken only if the major trend is
bearish.
Trading in the direction of the major trend helps
prevent “whipsaw” trades when short-term
counter-trend rallies or sell offs occur. Preventing
whipsaw trades can increase profits, reduce losses
and increase the percentage of winning trades.
Unlike
Forex and futures trading, the ETF trading
strategies by the Global Power Trend System only
generate ‘limited risk’
trades. With limited risk trades you cannot lose
more money than you invest and will not receive a
margin call. Forex and futures trading uses
leverage. Depending on the amount of leverage used,
a small 3% to 4% adverse market move can wipe out
your trading account and require you to add funds to meet a margin call.
One of the big advantages of Chuck’s ETF
trading strategies is that the system takes short
positions which profit when the underlying index or
ETF declines in price.
The profit graph below displays the profit growth
from trading the Emerging Market ETF over the same
two year period using the GPS Major Trend System.
Over the past two years, a $10,000 ETF investment grew
to $17,907 using the system - resulting in a $7,907
profit and a 79.0% return. There were no losing
trades.

Chuck’s ETF investment advisory is not chained to the
US stock market.
One of the big advantages of
ETF trading with the
Global
Power Trend System is that its performance is not
correlated with the US stock market. The Global
Power Trend System enables traders to trade a wide
variety of global markets and asset classes which
reduces risk and increases profit opportunities. The
table below displays the recent monthly percent
return for the S&P 500 Index versus GPS Advisory
returns.
